This is a long way to go to see a sign, but that's pretty much all there is to see.  The Arctic Circle lies approximately 160 miles north of Fairbanks on the Dalton Highway, otherwise known as the Haul Road due to the fact it's used to haul supplies to the North Slope oilfields.  It's not a particularly tough drive, but it is all gravel road.  I did the drive in a Mercury Marquis (my apologies to Hertz) and there were stretches where I was able to maintain 55 mph without difficulty.

About 60 miles south of the Arctic Circle is the Yukon River.   The E. L. Patton Bridge is the only man-made structure spanning the river.   Notice how I've got the bridge precariously balanced on my head....
